India: Central Govt to help Andhra Pradesh develop electric vehicle infrastructure
As part of the national policy, the Central Govt will support Andhra Pradesh to develop electric vehicle charging infrastructure in the State, said Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL- GoI), executive vice-chairman Saurabh Kumar, while requesting the State government to support the objective of bringing electric vehicles revolution in the country in the next 10 years.

He, further, persuaded Power Minister R K Singh to make it mandatory to use electric vehicles for officials in his department saying he will do so for his departments.

 

 

India: Hyundai working on affordable EV for India with 1000 crore investment
Hyundai will be investing more than ₹3,200 crores(INR 32 billion) in India over the next four years. Hyundai will also bring in new electric vehicles as part of its new strategy that includes an enhanced focus on green mobility to fortify its operations in India. Out of the overall investment, Rs. 1,000 crore will go toward the progress of a new inexpensive EV.
