Japan approves Level 4 autonomous vehicles
Date: September 11, 2023. — Japan has officially given the green light to Level 4 autonomous vehicles for public use. The town of Eiheiji in Fukui recently introduced passenger service after Japan’s government amended the Road Traffic Act in March of this year to permit level 4 autonomous driving. 



SoftBank backs Ex-Argo AI founders
Date: September 11, 2023. — SoftBank Group Corp. has announced a substantial investment in a startup led by former Argo AI founders. The Japanese conglomerate is committing a  $1 billion to this venture, marking its renewed interest in the autonomous vehicle industry.



Honda adopts Tesla’s EV charging tech
Date: September 11, 2023. — Honda has announced that it is adopting Tesla‘s EV charging technology. Honda Motor‘s EV cars, which will go on sale in North America in 2025, will use Tesla’s fast-charging connection.



DENSO President unveils €63B R&D plan for electromobility
President and COO of DENSO, Shinnosuke Hayashi has revealed Denso business plans to invest €63 billion (¥10 trillion) in research and development over the next ten years. This is in line with its pursuit of zero emissions and zero traffic fatalities within mobility and society.

Date: September 11, 2023. — Waymo has released study showcasing the superior safety performance of its driverless cars compared to human drivers. According to the company’s latest insurance statistics, Waymo’s autonomous vehicles have proven to be significantly safer on the roads.




Pynt raises $6M for API security
Date: September 8, 2023. — Pynt, a API security company, has raised $6 million in its latest funding round. The funding was led by early-stage investor Joule Ventures and included Dallas Venture Capital and Honeystone Venture Capital.
