Baidu gets license for testing self-driving cars in Beijing

Baidu has obtained 40 licenses to test self-driving cars on the roads of Beijing. Its driverless cars have already covered up the distance more than three million kilometers (or about 1.8 million miles) during tests in 23 Chinese cities to date, up from 2 million kilometers (roughly 1.2 million miles) across 13 cities as of July.

 

Tata Motors Unveils Nexon EV

Tata Motors recently unveiled in India, an Electric SUV – the Nexon EV. The car targets personal car buyers looking for a thrilling, connected drive experience with zero emissions. Powered by Ziptron technology, this vehicle promises an efficient high voltage system, zippy performance, long-range, fast charging capability, extended battery life and class leading safety features. Scheduled to be launched in January 2020, the Nexon EV is expected to be priced between INR 15 to 17 Lakhs.

Partnership between Tactile Mobility and HERE Technologies

Tactile Mobility, a tactile virtual sensing and data company for automakers, municipalities, road authorities and fleet managers, and HERE Technologies, a location platform services provider, are partnering to release and commercialize Tactile Mobility’s tactile virtual sensing data, including data on road conditions, on the HERE Marketplace for location-based data. Joining other premium mobility brands, Tactile Mobility will expand its commercial reach to automotive and municipal customers seeking tactile data.

 

Didi Chuxing and NVIDIA Team Up

DiDi is working toward the safe, large-scale application of autonomous driving technology, leveraging its own technology capacities, data resources and open collaboration with tech leaders and OEM partners.

 

Xpeng Motors Presents Autonomous Driving Architecture
