Volvo Group and JLR’s Venture Capital Invest in Apex.AI

Volvo Group Venture Capital AB has invested in Apex.AI, a software company in autonomous mobility. The investment will fund the development of a safety-certified software framework for autonomous systems. JLR’s InMotion Venture capital arm also announced investment in Apex.AI. The existing investors include Lightspeed Venture Partners, Canaan Partners, Toyota AI Ventures and Airbus Ventures.
General Motors and LG Chem Join Forces to Mass Produce Battery Cells

General Motors and LG Chem recently announced plans to mass-produce battery cells for future battery-electric vehicles. Together, the companies will invest up to a total of $2.3 billion through a new, equally owned joint venture company.
