Mitsubishi Electric with HERE Technologies has developed a new system that would give drivers a few valuable extra seconds or minutes to prepare for potential danger on the road ahead, such as by switching lanes or simply driving with greater caution. The system piloted by the companies enables vehicles to automatically warn others about upcoming road hazards with lane-level precision.

 

 

Paris-Saclay Autonomous Lab to develop new mobility services

Groupe Renault, the Transdev Group, IRT SystemX, Institut VEDECOM and the University of Paris-Saclay have joined hands to initiate Paris-Saclay Autonomous Lab project. Its purpose is to develop new autonomous mobility services using dedicated lane and public and campus streets to supplement the existing Saclay Plateau transportation systems. It was inaugurated recently at the SPRING 2019 innovation event.
