1. Terms of Use
Taiwan Telematics Industry Association (TTIA) provides the TTIA website (hereafter referred to as the Website) at http://www.ttia-tw.org and services (hereafter referred to as the Services) on the Website based on the Terms of Use provided herein. Your use of the Website shall mean that you have read the Terms of Use and fully accepted the Terms of Use. TTIA may amend the Terms of Use anytime and you are advised to pay close attention to such amendments or updates. Keep using the Website after any amendment or update means that you have read and accepted the amended or updated Terms of Use. Please immediately stop using the Website if you do not accept the Terms of Use.
2. Member Rights
There are general members and corporate (juridical) members.General member rights include:
(1)Access to TTIA information
(2)Participate in discussion of the matters related to TTIA
(3)Access to communicate with other TTIA members
(4)Participate in TTIA seminars and discussion with other general members
Corporate (juridical) member rights include the following in addition to the previous mentioned general member rights:
(5)Access to business opportunities related to cross-Taiwan Strait and international cooperation, including establishment of and participation in working groups, product and technology discussion, technology matchmaking, contract signing, business opportunity development, and technology cooperation.
(6)Corporate (juridical) members may participate in TTIA working groups by assigning a representative to participate in a working group.
3. Member Registration Instruction and Member Rights
You shall agree the following in order to access the Services:
(1)Provide your personal information that is accurate, complete, most up to date based on the member registration instruction.
(2)Maintain and update your personal information to ensure that it is accurate, complete, and most up to date. The Website may suspend or terminate your account, or deny your access to some or all of the Services should you provide any erroneous or untrue information.
The obligations of General and corporate (juridical) member are:
(1)Abide by the regulations and rules provided herein.
(2)Support TTIA mission implementation and promotion.
(3)Participate in TTIA meetings and events.
(4)Provide personal information and contact information.
(5)Keep TTIA information as confidential and do not allow to share such information with any third party.
(6)TTIA working group members shall be corporate (juridical) members, and a corporate (juridical) member may assign a representative to participate in a working group.
4.Privacy Policy
Your membership registration and other specific information are protected by the piracy policy.
5. Member Account, Password, and Information Security
Member Account, Password, and Information Security
(1)Immediately inform the website of any theft of your account and/or password and any other security issue.
(2)Ensure to logout from your account after finishing using the Website every time.
6. Law-abiding Obligation and Commitment
You shall promise not to use the Website illegally and promise not to use it for any illegally purpose. You shall promise to abide by relevant laws and regulations of the Republic of China as well as all international customary practices related to internet usage. If you access the Website outside the territory of the Republic of China, you shall agree to abide by the laws and regulations of the country or area you are in. You shall agree and promise not to use the Services to infringe upon others’ rights or commit crimes, that include, but are not limited to:
(1)Upload or post any content, picture, file in any manner or form which is defamatory, libelous, threatening, tortuous, vulgar, obscene, untrue, or against public order or morals to the Website.
(2)Infringe the reputation, privacy, trade secret, trademark, copyright, patent, intellectual property rights, and proprietary rights of any party.
(3)Breach confidentiality obligations required by laws or contracts.
(4)Impersonate any person or entity to use the Services.
(5)Transmit or spread out computer viruses.
(6)Engage in illegal business, or post false or seducing information.
(7)Engage in other activities that the Website considers inappropriate.
7. System Interruption or Malfunction
The Website may be subject to service interruption or malfunction, which may incur inconvenience, data losses, errors, tampering, and/or other damages. When using the Website, please take necessary protection for yourself. The Website has no responsibility or liability for the damages with or without your use of the Services.
8. Intellectual Property Right Protection
All the software or programs, and/or contents on the Website shall include but not be limited to writings, pictures, files, information, data, website architecture, web design, and web layout, whose copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and proprietary technologies, which belong to the Department of Industrial Technology (hereafter referred to as DoIT) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Without prior written approval by DoIT or other right holders, no one shall use, alter, reproduce, publicly broadcast, adapt, disseminate, publish, and/or publicly announce any of the aforementioned software or programs, and/or contents on the Website, which shall not be reverse engineered, de-compiled, and/or disassembles, either. You must have prior written approval by DoIT or other right holders if you want to quote or republish any of the aforementioned software or programs, and/or contents on the Website. You will be liable for any damage or loss incurred to DoIT if you breach or violate this Terms of Use, and you liabilities will include but are not limited to attorney and litigation expenses.
9. Your Authorization to the Website
If you have no lawful right to authorize others to use, alter, reproduce, publicly broadcast, adapt, disseminate, publish, and/or publicly announce certain contents, please do not upload, transmit, input, or provide any of such contents to the Website. Uploading, transmitting, inputting, or providing any content to the Website means that you allow the Website, for private or public interest, to unconditionally use, alter, reproduce, publicly broadcast, adapt, disseminate, publish, and/or publicly announce whatsoever from you, and that you have no objection to the Website’s authorization of whatsoever from you to others. Moreover, you shall guarantee that the Website’s aforementioned practices do not infringe upon any third party's intellectual property right, or you will be liable for any damage or loss incurred to DoIT, and you liabilities will include but are not limited to attorney and litigation expenses.
10. Denial or Termination of Your Access
You shall agree that the Website may, based on its own discretion or for any reason including but not limited to your lack of use of the Website or Services, or the provisions or purport of this Terms of Use violated by you, terminate your password, account, or access to some or all of the Services, and delete all your member contents associated with or inside your account. Also, the Website may, based on its own discretion, terminate any or all of the Services with or without prior notice. Furthermore, you shall agree that DoIT is not liable to you or any third party for termination of your access to the Services.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Terms of Use shall be governed and construed in accordance with the law of the Republic of China. The Taipei District Court shall be the first court of jurisdiction for any dispute arising out of this Terms of Use.
